TARGET IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY!
Last night I stopped off at Target to pick up some groceries since they seem to have the lowest prices on my favs like Over the Moon milk and Simply Orange juice. It seems they also have the lowest prices on CD's too. I picked up the new album "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix" from the French electronic rock band Phoenix for just $7.99! I think I'm starting to see why all the Mom and Pop record shops are closing. I do make a point to support them, especially locally and especially on National Record Store Day, when I recently shelled out $17.99 or more each on CD's from DC favs Fugazi and Thievery Corporation. And most of the time, I have to special order what I want. I went to a Mom and Pop record shop recently in Conshohocken, PA and they didn't have anything I was looking for either used or new. I was told I would have to order what I wanted at a ridiculous price and I would have to wait for it to come in and then make another trip to pick it up! The guy didn't seem all that interested in making any money from me. Is it any wonder why I wound up at Target!? As they say, Expect More. Pay Less!
