FOLLOW UP ON "THE REV'S" DEATH

Crash here- still in mourning over the loss of Avenged Sevenfold (A7X) drummer "The Rev." I promised I would report back more info as I get it, so here goes. "The Rev" is survived by his wife, Leana MacFadden. MyFoxLA.com reports that an autopsy performed yesterday was inconclusive as to the drummer's cause of death. The Orange County coroner's office ordered "toxicology, microscopic and labratory tests" to help determine why he died. Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, the band's song "Afterlife" seems very timely. RIP brutha!

RIP A7X DRUMMER "THE REV": DEAD AT 28!!

Sad news today in the world of Bone Rock. Avenged Sevenfold drummer James Owen Sullivan, aka "The Rev" died Monday at his home in Huntington Beach, CA. Authorities say he appears to have died of natural causes at this time, but the Orange County coroner's office is investigating his death. The talented drummer was just 28! More details coming as I get them. Avenged Sevenfold won Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2006.

WES SCANTLIN INJURED HOPPING OFF STOOL

Puddle of Mudd front man Wes Scantlin fractured his right foot after he hopped off a stool during a radio interview on Monday night. Damn- you know you're getting old when you injure yourself getting out of a stool! Poor guy. Here's a photo of him in his cruthes. Enjoy! CRASH

BILLY CORGAN & JESSICA SIMPSON???

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this weird combination, but E! news is reporting that Smashing Pumpkin Billy Corgan is dating pop tart Jessica Simpson! There is a bit of an age difference here. Jessica is 29 and Billy is 42. Both have been married before and have been unlucky in love before with other high profile people. Jessica dated John Mayer, Tony Romo and was married to Nick Lachey of course, and Billy has been linked with that hot mess Courtney Love. Who the hell knows? It could work? Both could use a career boost right now. You have my blessing!

EDDIE VEDDER IS OFF THE MARKET!

Eddie Vedder is getting married..again The Pearl Jam frontman and his model girlfriend Jill McCormick got engaged this weekend in Washington, DC. The couple already has 2 kids together. I can't wait! AI is back starting on the hardwood tonight as a Sixer vs. one of his old teams, The Denver Nuggets, at the Wachovia Center! Sure he missed a couple of practices and may have been late to a fan appreciation night or two, but the guy is a star and he can play ball! Tonight is a near sell out if not sell out crowd by now. He's getting fans in the seats! AI is old school. He is the talent. He is the Answer. So what if he doesn't always show up on time? It's not like he's the receptionist late to answer phones in the front office. The game, and the season, will start when he gets there! Go Sixers!
